Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 36-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), 12-hour nights
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity obstetrical nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
- Maintain patient safety and comfort during labor, delivery, and high-risk maternity procedures
- Monitor fetal and maternal vital signs, perform sterile vaginal exams, and support immediate newborn care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams using systems such as EPIC and PYXIS
- Assist with scheduled and unscheduled cesarean deliveries, cervical cerclages, and outpatient procedures
- Float as needed to support high patient volume and unit demands
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in high-volume, high-acuity maternity settings (preferably 3+ years)
- Experience with circulating and sterile vaginal examinations
- Certifications: BCLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
- Competent in immediate newborn care
Preferred Experience / Skills
- First-time traveler accepted with relevant large-volume OB experience
- Prior OR circulating experience is a strong plus
- Familiarity with EPIC, PYXIS, and hospital communication systems
