Schedule / Job Type

• 12-hour nights, full-time, contract (13-26 weeks available), floating required, weekend rotations

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity obstetrical care to antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, including high-risk OB cases
• Facilitate routine outpatient procedures such as fetal surveillance, hydration, and medication administration
• Assist with scheduled and unscheduled cesarean births and cervical cerclage procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and utilize hospital systems like EPIC and PYXIS for patient care documentation and medication management
• Maintain patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced, high-volume maternity unit
• Adhere to unit protocols while ensuring compliance with certifications and safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery RN experience; prefer 3+ years for high-acuity settings
• Competent in circulating, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care
• Certifications: BCLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate
• Ability to handle a busy high-risk OB unit with patient ratios of 2:1, and high patient admit volume

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in large, high-volume obstetrics units
• OR circulating experience preferred, as the unit operates with a high level of acuity
• Flexibility to float as needed within the hospital

• RTO (Request Time Off) after booking is not allowed and may lead to work placement cancellation
• No on-site RTO unless specified, and no working out of the hospital on scheduled shifts
• Weekend shifts required with a minimum of every other weekend
• Unit utilizes systems such as EPIC and PYXIS, with a 24-hour orientation provided
