Registered Nurse - Oncology

Location: Wausau, WI

Schedule / Job Type: Night shifts, Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments, planning, and implementation of patient care for oncology patients.
• Perform port and line draws in the laboratory prior to chemotherapy administration.
• Room patients, take vital signs, and deliver nursing assessments.
• Assist in chemotherapy administration and patient care following proper training.
• Support patient visits, including office, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments, in a busy clinic setting.
• Ensure compliance with nursing protocols and unit competencies, including port and chemo techniques.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license active in the state of Wisconsin.
• Experience in oncology nursing preferred.
• Ability to perform port and line draws with proper technique.
• Strong assessment and patient care skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Prior experience in a busy outpatient oncology clinic.
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
