Key Responsibilities
- Provide bedside care for medical surgical and oncology patients in a 28-bed unit.
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy, and monitor patient responses.
- Use equipment such as Alaris pumps and Pyxis systems; document care in Epic EMR.
- Collaborate with a team of 12 staff members, including charge nurses and PCTs.
- Maintain patient ratios of approximately 1:6, ensuring quality and safety standards.
- Follow unit policies, maintain compliance with safety protocols, and participate in on-call and weekend coverage as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and active Alaska RN license
- NIH Certification
- BLS Certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with chemotherapy administration
- ACLS Certification
- Prior medical-surgical or oncology nursing experience
