Night shift, Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized nursing care to residents in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
• Assess patient condition, prioritize data collection, and notify healthcare team of abnormal findings.
• Administer treatments, medications, and perform procedures such as blood draws, EKGs, and IV starts accurately and timely.
• Document patient assessments, responses to interventions, and progress in compliance with facility policies.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement personalized care plans.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations, including initiating resuscitation measures and managing urgent medical needs.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and care instructions, maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient dignity.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assist in staff orientation and ongoing education, supporting team efforts to deliver high-quality care.

Required Qualifications:

• Active California LVN or LPN license.
• Current BLS level CPR certification.
• Good physical health, stamina, and manual dexterity for patient care tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong assessment skills, dependability, and a history of good attendance.
• Capable of handling emergency situations with resourcefulness and professionalism.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and electronic documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
