Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in an IMC, PCU, or stepdown unit during night shifts.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs and responses.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring proper documentation according to policy.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, standards of care, and safety procedures.
- Supervise and support LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel during shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in New Mexico or a Compact State.
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications, completed through recognized agencies such as the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health and Safety.
- Minimum of two years of recent experience in an 18-plus bed telemetry or progressive care unit.
- Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.
- Ability to pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test administered onsite.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred.
- Flexibility and adaptability to fast-paced healthcare environments.
- Knowledge of or experience with IMC/PCU/Stepdown patient care protocols.
