Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, travel, nights shift, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient nursing care in a Cardiac Stepdown/PCU/Telemetry unit.
- Monitor and respond to patient needs using tele, bedside monitors, and advanced equipment.
- Administer medications, including simple GTTs, and perform procedures such as TEE and cardioversion.
- Collaborate with a team of registered nurses and CNAs to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Follow protocols for cardiac patient care, including the use of pacing wires and defibrillation.
- Document patient care accurately in electronic health records.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Alaska RN license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- At least 2 years of nursing experience in a cardiac or stepdown setting.
- Experience with tele monitor management and cardiovascular procedures.
- Ability to work 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM shifts, including weekends and on-call rotations.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in ICU or COVID unit.
- Knowledge of cardioversion, Pacing, and the use of advanced cardiac equipment.
- Team-oriented and easy-going personality to fit into a collaborative environment.
