Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in a busy Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
- Circulate during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Assist with a variety of cardiovascular surgeries, including adult and pediatric cases.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and other hospital staff to deliver high-quality care.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control policies.
- Participate in on-call rotations and possible float assignments to other units as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years CVOR nursing experience.
- At least 2 years pediatric perioperative experience.
- Must have circulating nurse certification.
- Current BLS and PALS certifications.
- Prior travel or temporary placement experience preferred.
- Experience working in a Level I trauma hospital or similar setting.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with a wide range of cardiovascular and other surgical procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility for float assignments.
- Familiarity with hospital codes, trauma protocols, and pediatric care is advantageous.
