Travel, Full-time, Day shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide telemetry nursing care to patients in a 36-bed hospital unit.
• Monitor patients using remote telemetry systems and respond promptly to alerts.
• Perform procedures such as chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort by adhering to unit protocols and policies.
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including unit secretaries, techs, and physicians.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Kentucky or state of residence.
• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• NIH Stroke Certification or equivalent.
• Knowledge of telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, and arrhythmia recognition.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with chest tube management and procedures such as bedside paracentesis.
• Dysthymia training or proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Ability to float to orthopedics or medical-surgical units as needed.
• Knowledge of Meditech documentation system.
