- Full-time, 13-week contract, day shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM), onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to obstetric patients in a Level III Maternal and Level II Neonatal unit.
- Assist with high-risk deliveries, including C-sections, twin deliveries, and emergency procedures such as hysterectomies and massive transfusions.
- Monitor fetal and maternal status using advanced EFM and related technology.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced nurses, physicians, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and departmental standards.
- Document patient care accurately in EMR systems (CPN and Meditech).
Required Qualifications
- Valid registered nurse license.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in high-risk obstetrics.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Certification in Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN Intermediate or higher).
- CPR certification.
- Experience with high-risk OB procedures and neonate care.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with placenta accrete spectrum disorders (PASD).
- Knowledge of laparoscopic or surgical procedures related to high-risk OB.
- Ability to manage acuity-based patient ratios, including 1:1 and 1:2 care transitions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
