Key Responsibilities

• Provide acute care nursing to telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to changes.
• Perform and document assessments, administer medications, and ensure patient safety.
• Complete the required ECG/telemetry and medication tests during onboarding with a passing score.
• Float to similar units and overflow areas as needed to support staffing.
• Adhere to all compliance and safety protocols, including flu vaccination and BILH coversheet submission.
• Participate in biweekly orientation sessions.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience.
• Ability to pass telemetry competency exam with an 85% passing score.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Documented professional developmental activities.
• Knowledge of critical pathways.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nurse or leadership experience.
• Experience with critical pathways and complex patient monitoring.

Additional Notes
Candidates must complete required testing within 48 hours of offer, with no opportunity for re-sit. Local travelers are not accepted (must reside beyond 50 miles). Orientation occurs biweekly. Please provide available interview dates/times at submission. Travelers previously employed at the facility within the last six months are ineligible. Guarantee hours are 72 biweekly hours, excluding on-call time.
