Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job Type
Travel, Full-time, Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed medical-surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:6
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including clinical coordinators, unit secretaries, PCTs, and case management
- Administer medications and treatments using equipment such as IV pumps, walkers, SCDs, and more
- Document patient care accurately in the Meditech system
- Participate in unit and hospital policies, including holiday and weekend rotations, and floating policies
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years medical-surgical nursing experience
- Strong communication, teamwork, compassion, and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of respiratory diseases, renal issues, GI illnesses, central lines, and catheter management
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with complex respiratory conditions, CVCs, heparin infusions
- Familiarity with hospital equipment and protocols for patient safety and documentation
