Schedule / Job Type
- Night shifts, full-time (40 hours/week) with options for 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, including guaranteed hours
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical-surgical nursing care to adult patients within a busy acute care setting
- Manage post-operative care for neuro, orthopedic, and trauma patients, including total joint replacements and neuro surgeries
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, including dysrhythmias, and respond accordingly
- Assist with various medical diagnoses such as COPD, pneumonia, UTI, cellulitis, COVID-19, and small bowel obstruction
- Handle specialized procedures like bladder irrigation, chest tube management, and ENT surgeries
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1.5 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
- Active in-state nursing license (or valid license in hand prior to start)
- BLS certification required; NIHSS and ACLS preferred
- Ability to float across units and work 2 of 3 major holidays
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with neuro surgery, total joint replacements, trauma level I-IV
- Proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Experience in orthopedic trauma, neurosurgery, ENT, and medical diagnosis management
