Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a focus on neuro conditions.
• Follow unit protocols and ensure patient safety through teamwork and precise communication.
• Utilize systems such as Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR for medication management and documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient needs and recovery.
• Adhere to schedule with 36 or 48-hour shifts; participate in storm/hurricane teams if needed.
• Support hospital preparedness during catastrophic events or mass casualty situations.

Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Willingness to pass EKG testing prior to start.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong teamwork approach to patient care and a focus on safety.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Neuro care experience or NIH certification preferred.
• Experience or willingness to learn the charge nurse role.
• Knowledge of neuro patient management is a plus.
