Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Tele

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Schedule / Job Type: Night shifts, Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit, including cardiovascular and peripheral vascular conditions.
• Be flexible with weekend requirements, with approximately 50% weekend work based on unit needs.
• Float to different levels of care such as Med-Surg, PCU, and ICU as needed, with appropriate resources provided.
• Participate in precepting or mentoring students and shadowing opportunities at teaching facilities.
• Cover charge nurse responsibilities as needed, following provided training and resources.
• Respond professionally to call-in shifts, with scheduling adjustments based on FTE status.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid state-issued or compact license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a similar setting.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to unit float requirements.
• Willingness to work weekends as required by unit needs.
• BCLS certification; telemetry and IV start experience preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with telemetry monitoring and IV starts.
• Background in cardiovascular surgical, peripheral vascular, or arrhythmia care.
• Flexibility to work across multiple care levels, including Critical Care units.
