- Travel, Day shifts, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.
- Administer medications, IV starts, and manage ventilator support.
- Perform procedures such as central line dressing changes, ICP monitoring, and trach care.
- Monitor patient vitals and responses, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Document care delivery accurately using electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 2 years PICU experience.
- Current PALS certification.
- Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts.
- Flexibility to work 3 shifts per week, including weekends.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with pediatric hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
- Knowledge of Cerner documentation system.
- Experience floating between PICU and NICU units.
