Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to cardiac, vascular, and medical-surgical patients in a stepdown/PCU environment.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and manage cardiac and vascular procedures such as epidural and chest tube management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care activities accurately using Cerner EMR system.
- Respond to patient needs efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience, preferably in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units.
- Experience with telemetry and cardiac procedures.
- Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and participate in a minimum of three shifts per week.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients (e.g., open heart, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, fem-pop bypass) within the last year.
- CVICU experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Epic or Cerner EMR systems.
