Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage safe, effective, and patient-centered care for surgical patients throughout all perioperative phases.
- Support and educate patients, providing direct care and serving as a liaison between the surgical team and patient families/support systems.
- Collaborate closely with the surgical team, acting in roles such as circulating nurse, 1st scrub nurse, or 2nd scrub nurse based on experience and training.
- Utilize Cerner EMR to document and manage patient information accurately.
- Assist in various surgical procedures including orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, and interventional pain management.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in good standing
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- Cerner EMR experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Gastroenterology / Endoscopy Lab experience
- Experience in orthopedic, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, or interventional pain management
- CNOR certification
