Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care to adults with kidney-related conditions in a 36-bed renal unit.
- Collaborate with community nephrologists, family practice providers, and hospitalists to deliver comprehensive care.
- Administer treatments including post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis.
- Support patients through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery processes.
- Float to other units and hospitals as needed to ensure seamless patient care coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or higher.
- Valid Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a valid Compact license.
- AHA BLS or Red Cross CPR certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, or 18 months with specialized experience under a professional license, including at least 1 year in the renal or medical-surgical/telemetry field.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for patients with renal conditions or in a nephrology setting.
- Knowledge of Meditech EMR system.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
