Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time (4 shifts per week, days, 12-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, ensuring quality and safety standards are met
- Serve as a charge nurse when operational needs require, with training and resources provided
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment plans
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and documentation requirements
- Support patient advocacy and comfort throughout their hospital stay
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a hospital setting
- Current and valid IN State Nursing License in hand
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry units
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Flexibility to work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Additional Notes
- Charge nurse coverage is optional but may be required based on operational needs
- Effective 11/30/2024, IN-based RN travelers will not be permitted to work at IU Health facilities unless exempted (perioperative, OR, allied health, ambulatory RN travelers are exempt)
- Must be willing to work days and adhere to holiday requirements
