Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for post-operative surgical, trauma, overflow medical, and wound care patients.
• Monitor and manage IV therapy, pain management, drains, NGs, and central lines, including TPN.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Assist with patient assessments, dressing changes, and medication administration according to protocols.
• Use critical thinking skills to respond to patient needs and escalate issues as necessary.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with all hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid IL Registered Nurse license or active application in process.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with post-operative patient care, wound care, and IV therapy.
• Strong critical thinking and bedside manner skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for trauma or overflow medical patients.
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and equipment, including Philips monitors.
• Ability to manage a high patient workload and multitask effectively.
• Prior experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
