Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care/Outpatient Clinic

Location: Kansas City, KS

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, M-F

Key Responsibilities:

• Review inpatient medical records for completeness and accuracy related to severity of illness and risk of mortality.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and detailed documentation.
• Collaborate with HIM coding staff to ensure discharge diagnoses and co-morbidities accurately reflect patient status.
• Support clinical documentation integrity to improve coding accuracy and hospital metrics.
• Utilize provided equipment to perform documentation review remotely.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in Kansas or a Compact state.
• At least 3 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• 3+ years in Clinical Documentation, Case Management, or Critical Care.
• Experience with inpatient medical record review or clinical documentation improvement.
