Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type
Full-time, Night shift, 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population, primarily elderly and critically ill.
- Manage and prioritize multiple critical care cases in a cardio-focused hospital environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver timely and effective treatment.
- Complete necessary documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Pass a clinical EKG test on the first day of orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois nursing license.
- Valid CPR and ACLS certifications.
- Current NIH Stroke certification, PALS, TNCC or TNS.
- Epic electronic health record system experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a cardio hospital setting.
- Ability to float between locations as needed.
- Availability to work 1 holiday and every other weekend.
- Recent references from ER supervisors within the last year.
- Demonstrated proficiency with skills checklist and verified IL license.
- Ability to submit a passed EKG test along with application materials.
