Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
Location: Asheville, NC
Schedule / Job Type: Days, Travel, 13-week assignment, On-site
Shift Hours: 12.5 hours per shift (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to labor and delivery patients in a busy hospital setting.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care throughout the labor and postpartum process.
• Administer and monitor titratable and cardiac IV medications, including nitroglycerine, Cardizem, heparin, and insulin drips.
• Assist with bedside procedures such as cardioversion and postpartum assessments.
• Document patient progress and care interventions accurately in electronic medical records.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Minimum of 2 years of current labor and delivery or maternity nursing experience.
• Experience with IV medication titration, especially cardiac medications.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with prostacyclins (e.g., Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin).
• Relief charge nurse experience.
• Compassionate, flexible team player with a positive attitude.
