• Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients on a neurosurgical/neuroscience medical-surgical/step-down unit.
• Manage a patient population with neuro trauma, stroke, brain/spinal cord injuries, and post-surgical care.
• Perform patient assessments, administer treatments, and monitor vital signs and medical equipment such as lines, drains, and PCA pumps.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including therapists, to support early mobility and rehab efforts.
• Respond to emergency situations, including seizures, neuro insults, and acute neurological events.
• Potentially float to other care levels (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with provided resources and training.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• BCLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, including IV starts.
• Experience with neuro trauma, stroke, and neuro surgical patients preferred.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and to cover alternating weekends.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in neuroscience, neuro ICU, or step-down units.
• Ability to handle diverse patient needs ranging from 15 to 100+ years of age.
• Strong teamwork skills with ability to work as a charge nurse when needed.
