• Full-time, rotating shifts, 5 shifts per week, 8 hours per shift

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), utilizing the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs, responses, and care actions.
• Coordinate patient recovery and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Supervise and support LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel in clinical tasks.
• Meet patient and family education needs and ensure proper discharge planning.
• Complete competency testing and training in line with unit standards and protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Current Nursing license in New Mexico or a Compact State.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or equivalent.
• At least one previous 13-week travel assignment in a similar setting.
• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in a related specialty.
• Ability to pass the BCA (basic cardiac arrhythmias) test within the first week of assignment.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• EPIC electronic medical record system experience (training available on-site).
