Schedule / Job Type
- Night shifts, 13-week contract, full-time, on-call, weekends and holidays required, floating between departments and locations within 20 miles, may support PresNow (UC/ED) locations
Key Responsibilities
- Provide cardiopulmonary diagnostic and respiratory therapeutic support to hospital and outpatient patients
- Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing, respiratory treatments, and ventilatory support
- Float to different departments and locations as needed, including supporting PresNow (UC/ED) sites
- Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Support department staffing needs and adapt to fluctuating requirements during the contract duration
- Maintain professional licensure and certifications, including on-site training as needed
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited respiratory care education program (approved by CoARC)
- Valid New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
- NRP certification
- At least one prior 13-week travel assignment
- Minimum of 2 years of current experience in respiratory therapy
Preferred Experience / Skills
- EPIC electronic health record experience (training available onsite)
- Flexibility and ability to work in fast-paced environments
