Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts, 3 nights per week, 12-hour shifts, EOW (every other week) rotation, no call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to orthopedic and trauma patients in a medical-surgical/telemetry setting
• Assist with pre-operative and post-operative care for orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements and trauma cases
• Use specialized orthopedic equipment such as CPM, knee immobilizers, and bone foam
• Collaborate with Rapid Response Teams to ensure patient safety and timely intervention
• Document patient information accurately in EPIC electronic health records
• Ensure safe patient handling and compliance with infection control protocols

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant setting
• Valid BLS certification; ACLS preferred
• Experience with orthopedic trauma and elective orthopedic procedures
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record systems
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Knowledge of orthopedic equipment and patient handling techniques

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Orthopedic and trauma care expertise
• Experience with pre-op and post-op orthopedic patient management
• Familiarity with rapid response procedures
• Experience with orthopedic devices such as CPM and immobilizers
