Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical/Tele unit.
- Observe and monitor patients with diverse medical conditions, including respiratory, surgical, and end-of-life care.
- Perform assessments, implement care plans, and document patient progress using EPIC electronic health records.
- Conduct EKG exams and ensure compliance with all required certifications.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver safe and effective patient care.
- Float as needed across various Cone Health facilities and assist with patient observations for psychiatric, diabetic, or surgical cases.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with EPIC electronic health records.
- Previous charge nurse experience.
- Experience with diverse patient populations, including surgical, psychiatric, diabetic, and hospice care.
