Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, temporary (Contract)
• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs and responses.
• Coordinate care collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following protocols and policies.
• Supervise and support licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Ensure patient education and discharge planning are addressed throughout the care episode.
• Follow clinical protocols and standards to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid nursing license in the state of New Mexico or a Compact State license.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications (must be completed through approved providers).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a large Emergency Department.
• Successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Ability to pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test during the first week of assignment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Epic electronic medical record experience (training available on-site if needed).
• Flexibility and experience working in fast-paced environments.
• Comfortable with floating between departments or locations within 20 miles.
