Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care during assigned shifts in the Emergency Room.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs, documenting actions and responses.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to coordinate care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following protocols.
- Supervise and support LPNs and non-licensed personnel.
- Complete patient education and competency testing according to unit standards.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and standards of care.
- Successfully pass the required Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test prior to start; re-test if necessary.
Required Qualifications
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications (must be through AHA, American Health and Safety, or Red Cross).
- Minimum of 2 years current ED experience in a busy department.
- Must have completed at least one 13-week travel nursing assignment.
- Ability to work night shifts and float between departments and local locations within 20 miles.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic or similar Electronic Medical Record system (training available on-site).
- Flexible, team-oriented, and accustomed to fast-paced environments.
