Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, 13-week assignment, night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care in the operating room for various surgical procedures.
- Assist with perioperative patient preparation and safety measures.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and hospital staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Adhere to established safety and documentation protocols using Meditech system.
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to intraoperative needs during procedures.
- Maintain compliance with hospital and unit-specific policies, including certifications such as BLS.
Required Qualifications
- Active BLS certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of OR nursing experience.
- Ability to perform advanced skills specific to surgical procedures.
- Strong knowledge of operating room protocols and patient safety standards.
- Flexibility to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced surgical environment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with surgeries involving hearts, trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology, GYN, and robotics (DaVinci and Mako).
- Prior experience in a Level I trauma center setting.
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation system.
