Key Responsibilities
- Provide bedside nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, and Baby Units during overnight hours.
- Monitor and assess maternal and newborn conditions, ensuring safe and effective care.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and manage overflow from the Progressive Care Unit.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient histories, treatments, and progress.
- Demonstrate flexibility to float to other units as needed to support patient care requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Vermont.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery / Post-Partum nursing experience.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during overnight shifts.
- Compassionate approach to maternal and neonatal care.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital setting.
- Additional certifications such as NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) or BLS (Basic Life Support).
