Registered Nurse Operating Room

Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location
• Moab, Utah

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Days shift, 5 days per week, rotating on-call responsibilities including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities
• Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care for surgical patients in the operating room
• Ensure patient safety by adhering to aseptic and sterile techniques and safety protocols
• Assist with various surgical procedures, including general, orthopedic, and obstetric cases
• Respond effectively to emergency situations and trauma cases in the ER and OR
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and surgical procedures

Required Qualifications
• Current, unrestricted RN license in Utah or a compact state
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification or the ability to obtain within three months of hire
• Knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
• Strong understanding of patient safety and precautions
• Excellent communication skills, including written, oral, and listening skills
• Emotional and physical stamina to respond in stressful or emergency situations

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and operation protocols
• Prior experience in pre-op and PACU settings
• Skilled in circulating and assisting with general, orthopedic, and obstetric surgeries, including C-sections
• Experience in trauma cases and emergency response in the OR or ER
• Confidence in providing care during emergency procedures, including nighttime surgeries
