• Full-time, night shifts (12-hour shifts), 4 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within a Medical Surgical unit, including neurological, neuromuscular, and general medical conditions
• Perform advanced procedures such as lumbar punctures, lumbar drains, Foley catheter insertions, IV starts, G-tubes, and tracheostomies
• Utilize specialized equipment including bladder ultrasound and monitor patients with complex diagnoses such as MS, ALS, GBS, stroke, epilepsy, infections, and tumors
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic health record systems
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver holistic patient care and ensure safety standards are met

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license with ability to sign for 36 or 48 hours per week
• 2+ years of hospital experience in a Medical Surgical or Neuro unit
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• BLS, NIH, and IV start certifications required
• Will accept pending license candidates
• Ability to work every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level I or teaching hospital experience
• Familiarity with complex neurological and neuromuscular disorders
• Experience with special procedures like lumbar punctures and insertion of G-tubes and tracheostomies
