- Full-time, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts, days
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an emergency room setting, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with team members, including LPNs, to deliver effective team nursing care and appropriate delegation.
- Float to inpatient PCU units as needed, utilizing prior PCU experience.
- Assist in managing acuity-adaptable patients ranging from moderate to ICU level care.
- Maintain compliance with clinical protocols, including documentation and treatment plans.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and hospital policies at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency room experience.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Experience working with Cerner electronic health record system.
- Comfortable working in a team nursing environment, including delegation with LPNs.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a boarding unit or holding area setting.
- Ability to adapt to fluctuating patient census and staffing ratios.
- Prior float experience to inpatient PCU units.
