- Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a teaching hospital setting.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning.
- May be required to float to different levels of care such as PCU and ICU, with resources provided.
- Potentially serve as a charge nurse and participate in precepting or mentoring students and new staff when needed.
- Support unit operations during charge coverage as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid IN or Compact state nursing license.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred.
- Ability to work flexible weekends, with approximately 50% weekend shifts required over the contract.
- Comfortable working in a teaching hospital environment, including precepting or shadowing students.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in trauma, orthopedics, or surgical recovery.
- Prior experience working in a teaching or academic hospital setting.
