Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized neuro Critical Care to patients, including stroke, hemorrhagic events, craniotomies, and aneurysm treatments
• Manage ventilated patients, including EVDs, ICP monitoring, and Lumbar drains
• Perform advanced neuro assessments such as dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, and central line care
• Utilize specialized equipment including Camino, NICOM, LICOX, and Arctic Sun
• Maintain infection control protocols, utilize PPE, and follow unit-specific procedures and systems

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience in a Neuro or Neuro Critical Care setting
• Valid ACLS and BCLS certifications
• Experience with vents, IV starts, dysrhythmia interpretation, and management of neuro patients
• Strong understanding of stroke patient care (ischemic, hemorrhagic, SAH), post-neurosurgery, and related procedures

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in arterial line management
• Prior experience in a comprehensive stroke center or Neuro ICU

Additional Details

• Shift: 12-hour nights from 18:45 to 07:15
• Patient Population: Stroke, neurosurgical, neurovascular, seizure, and complex neuro cases
• Unit Ratios: 2:1 (flexible to 3:1 during high census)
• No minimum RTO; only one 7-day RTO window allowed after placement
• No call requirements; every other weekend shifts
• Orientation: 24 hours over 2 days or nights
• Scrubs: Navy blue & white
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Note: This is a direct assignment; RTO beyond 7 days post-booking is not permitted.
