Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized respiratory care to patients within a busy hospital setting
- Monitor and evaluate patient respiratory status and adjust treatments accordingly
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Operate and maintain advanced respiratory therapy equipment
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license or credentials in the state of Virginia
- Excellent clinical assessment and patient care skills
- Ability to work night shifts and flexible scheduling
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a hospital intensive care or acute care setting
- Certifications such as RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or NBRC credentials
- Experience working with electronic medical records systems
