- Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, nights (7 PM – 7 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide independent nursing care in labor and delivery, including routine and complex patient assessments and interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided accurately.
- Assess patient and family learning needs, providing education and resources as appropriate.
- Collaborate with care team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and manage clinical contingencies.
- Demonstrate leadership and adherence to professional standards aligned with ANA scope and organizational competencies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- Current RN licensure in the state of Texas or a compact license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Certification from one of the following: AWHONN Intermediate FHM, AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, AWHONN Advanced FHM Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM).
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in labor and delivery or related perinatal specialty.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Recent practice in a perinatal or labor and delivery setting.
- Completion of a Perinatal RN residency program.
- Experience with electronic fetal monitoring and high-risk obstetric care.
