Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Electrophysiology Lab.
• Circulate during interventional cardiac procedures, including diagnostic and left heart catheterizations.
• Monitor and manage adult patients' hemodynamics, including pulmonary artery lines and Swan-Ganz monitoring.
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Recognize and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias; respond appropriately to emergent situations.
• Document procedures and patient information accurately using Cerner electronic health record system.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license.
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Experience with diagnostic catheterizations, adult left and right heart procedures, and procedural sedation.
• Proficiency in Cerner electronic health records.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a Level I trauma hospital or similar acute care facility.
• Knowledge of pulmonary artery and Swan-Ganz monitoring.
• Ability to float within scope if needed.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Note:
Candidates must have an active IL license in hand to apply. Block schedule requests should be discussed with the manager. Typically, no more than 5 days of time off are permitted during the contract. The facility allows for some schedule flexibility, including occasional float within scope.
Shift: 3 days/week, 12-hour days (0630-1900).
Weekend requirement: 2-3 weekends per contract.
On-call: Yes, as needed.
