Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing in a clinical microbiology laboratory.
- Maintain accurate documentation of test results and quality control data.
- Ensure all laboratory procedures comply with certification and safety standards.
- Prepare specimens and operate laboratory equipment efficiently during evening shifts.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver timely and accurate lab results.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of MLS (Medical Laboratory Scientist) experience in a hospital setting.
- Minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital environment.
- Current certification or eligibility (must be completed within 6 months of hire) with ASCP, NCA, AMT, or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) Certification.
- Associate degree or equivalent military training eligible for certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume clinical laboratory.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety and compliance standards.
