- Full-time, Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, 5 days a week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide surgical assistance in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with proficiency in cardiac procedures
- Adhere to aseptic techniques and universal protocols during surgeries
- Ensure proper specimen labeling and handling
- Maintain sterilization and disinfection standards
- Follow radiation, laser, and fire safety guidelines
- Support the surgical team in maintaining a sterile and safe environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid CST certification with a technical diploma from CST training (formal education required; on-the-job training alone is not accepted)
- Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of CVOR experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in cardiac cases and CVOR-specific skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Specialized experience in CVOR procedures and cardiac surgeries
- Knowledge of specialized safety protocols and specimen management
