Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, night shifts (12-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting.
- Observe and assess patients, including those with respiratory, diabetic, surgical, psychiatric, and palliative needs.
- Monitor patients with complex conditions, including end-of-life and hospice care.
- Collaborate with healthcare team using EPIC electronic medical records.
- Maintain compliance with facility protocols, including pass/fail EKG exams.
- Work across multiple facilities within the healthcare network, with potential for float assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a similar setting.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to pass an EKG exam during onboarding.
- Knowledge of medical-surgical patient care and related diagnoses.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous charge nurse or leadership experience preferred.
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
- Experience with telemetry and assessing cardiac patients.
- First-time travel nurses are welcome.
