Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, night shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in an intermediate or stepdown care setting
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs and responses
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to coordinate care and ensure patient safety
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following standard protocols and policies
- Monitor patients' conditions, identify changes, and respond appropriately in a timely manner
- Supervise and mentor LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel as needed
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in New Mexico or a Compact State
- BLS and ACLS certifications from approved providers (American Heart Association, Red Cross, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in an 18+ bed telemetry or progressive care unit
- Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment
- Ability to pass onsite Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test prior to starting; re-test allowed once
- Flexibility to float between departments and local locations within 20 miles
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Epic EMR experience
- NIHSS certification
