Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Days shift, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a designated group of patients during each shift, utilizing the nursing process.
• Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and equitable care in accordance with standards and protocols.
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs, responses, and interventions.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to coordinate care and meet discharge planning needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, maintaining proper documentation.
• Supervise and provide clinical support to LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
• Float between departments or locations within 20 miles as needed.
• Successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test prior to or during the first week of assignment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Nursing license in the State of New Mexico or a Compact State.
• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in an 18+ bed telemetry/progressive care unit.
• BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or similar.
• Completion of at least one 13-week travel nursing assignment.
• Ability to pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
• NIHSS certification is a plus.
