Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process within an IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit.
- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient needs and responses.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to coordinate care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following protocols.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and effective discharge planning.
- Supervise and support LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Valid nursing license in New Mexico or a Compact State.
- BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or similar.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an 18+ bed telemetry or progressive care unit.
- Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.
- Ability to pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia test prior to or during the first week of assignment.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic EMR system is a plus.
- NIHSS certification is preferred.
