Key Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric nursing care to behavioral health patients on the 4th floor of Terre Haute Regional Hospital
- Administer medications, perform assessments, and document patient progress using electronic medical records (Meditech)
- Conduct blood glucose checks and attend to dressing changes as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain safety protocols and deliver compassionate support to patients with behavioral health needs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience
- Valid BLS and CPI certifications
- Ability to work night shifts and navigate emergency situations in a psychiatric setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Medical or psychiatric patient care experience
- Knowledge of wound dressing protocols and medical equipment usage
- Outgoing and hardworking personality suited for high-stress environments
