• Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

• 12-Hour Night Shifts, 3 shifts per week, contract basis (13-26 weeks)

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac patients in a specialized cardiac stepdown unit.
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips such as Diltiazem, Amiodarone, and others.
• Manage sheaths, TR Bands, and femstop devices post-procedure.
• Interpret dysrhythmias and remote cardiac monitoring data.
• Perform pre/post procedures including cardiac cath and cardiac surgery care.
• Access ports, manage central lines, PICC lines, and blood products as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with specific experience in telemetry and cardiac care.
• Experience with interpretation of dysrhythmias, remote monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Valid ACLS certification.
• Pass EKG testing prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge nurse experience.
• NIH certification is a plus.

• Floating required as needed, with potential to float every shift.
• No RTO (Return to Office) after booking; no onsite work unless specified.
• 7-day RTO maximum, auto-offer for candidates with minimal RTO requests.
• Unit handles complex cardiac cases including congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac procedures.
• Must be willing to participate in storm/hurricane team during emergencies.
• Unit utilizes Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR systems.
• Navy scrubs required.
• Arranged to work in a team environment, with mandatory self-scheduling per unit needs.
