Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type
• 36 hours per week, Night shift (12-hour shifts), 13-26 week contracts, float required as needed, every other weekend minimum

Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-risk obstetrical nursing care to patients, including routine outpatient procedures and intrapartum/postpartum management
• Monitor obstetrical patients 16 weeks and greater, including high-risk antepartum and postpartum care
• Perform special procedures such as cesarean births, rescue cervical cerclage, antenatal fetal surveillance, intravenous hydration, and medication administration
• Assist with urgent admissions through triage and coordinate care efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams using systems like EPIC, PYXIS, and SBAR to ensure quality patient care
• Maintain safety and infection control standards, including sterile procedures and immediate newborn care

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery or high-volume obstetric unit experience (3 years preferred)
• Certified in BCLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Competent in circulating, sterile vaginal examinations, and immediate newborn care
• Ability to handle a high-acuity, fast-paced environment with high patient volume

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Previous OR circulating experience
• Experience in a large, high-volume maternity setting
• First-time traveler experience acceptable if well-versed in similar environments
• Flexibility to float as needed during shifts
